Phoenix's ONLY Control-Line Model Airplane Flying Club

The Central Arizona Control Line Model Airplane Club is a non-profit organization chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) which is the United States aeromodeling representative of the National Aeronautic Association (NAA). The NAA is a member of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), the worldwide governing body for all sport (and modeling) aviation. Membership is open to any person who has an interest in Control Line Model Aircraft. CACLC is dedicated to the safe promotion of Control Line sport and competition model aviation within the community by providing an entry-level aviation experience for interested individuals. CACLC offers the opportunity for interested individuals to receive help and support with the development their building and flying skills, and sense of community, through an easier and less expensive entry into model aviation. CACLC is comprised of a group of responsibly minded adult citizens and youth who reside in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. These citizens have a common interest in model aviation, specifically all facets of Control Line Model Airplane flying, from sport to competition flying. CACLC members will always guide and assist newcomers to the fun of sport and competition flying. Our main objective is flying and fun.

Change of August Club Meeting

 Well I don’t know how else to get this out except straight away. I found out yesterday that I am being sent to Miami, Florida for 6 weeks. We are putting in a new roof on the Broward County “Panthers” Arena. I fly out on the Saturday the 11th so we can be ready to receive our cranes on Monday the 13th. I was in with Dan, our owner, for almost an hour yesterday trying to figure a way I could get out of this but it just can’t be done. There in a lot at stake in this project and on a very tight time limit schedule so I really need to be there. I don’t quite know what to say as this has thrown me for another loop in my own personal time dealings which seems to be happening quite a lot lately. This months meeting will be held at Jeff's house on August 14th at our regular meeting 7:30pm time. Again, please accept my apology for this last minute upset and changes in our club meeting and Mary and I will reciprocate.
